Xu Xin, the new top player in the world

The Xu Xin story continues after his 3 titles at the East Asian Games in Hong Kong where he won the men’s team, men’s double and the men’s single titles.
At the Pro Tour Grand Final in Macau recently, he once again showed the power from his bat and reached the final. In the first round he meet Timo Boll from Germany. After a tremendous fight, Xu Xin stands as a winner with 4-0. After this victory he face another German, Bastian Steger who also is knocked down with 4-0. In the semi final he meet the legendary Wang Liqin, 3 time single World Champion. After a thrilling and outstanding game with fantastic topspins rallies, Xu Xin came out as a winner. In the final Xu Xin was 2-1 up against Ma Long from China. This time Ma Long was too strong and won with 4-2.

The next goal for Xu Xin is to join the Chinese team for the World Team Championships that will be played in Moscow end of May this year.
