Sabine Winter wins German Championships!The STIGA sponsored and young star, Sabine Winter, became on the 7th of March German Champion in Women’s double. She played together with Kathrin Mühlbach. In the semi final they was down with 3-2 against the strong Silbereisen/Barthel but then Winter/Mühlbach played two very strong sets and came out as winners with 4-3 and booked a place in the final.
In the final, Winter/Mühlbach faced Elke Schall/Wu Jiaduo. Schall/Jiaduo was clearly the favourites to win the title but Winter/Muhlbach wanted something else. The scenario in the final was the same as in the semi final. Winter/Mühlbach was down with 3-2. At that time they came out with their best game and finished the two last games with 11-9 and 11-3.
